Social Media Classes Tip: How To Add A Second Link To Your Twitter Bio
A Little Known Trick That Can Get You More Exposure!
One of the most important steps in social media marketing is to ensure that you are representing your brand well within your social media bios. In this Social Media Classes tip, we are going to show you how to add a second link to your Twitter bio in order to promote another important destination for your followers.
What might that second destination be? If you have a Facebook page up and running for your business, that might be a great use of that new link. Or, it could be used for any number of calls-to-action (CTAs) that you have created around your business.
There is only one down side to this strategy in that it takes up space from the limited amount of characters you have to create a rich bio for your business. You can use a URL shortening service to add in your link if the link itself is long and doesn’t lend itself to an obvious destination like the one shown in the image below for our Facebook like page.
The best way to do this is to simply add your new link straight into your bio text and it will become a live link. It is really that simple. We have chosen to put a link to our business page on Facebook. If you have another social network that you think is performing well for your business, or a special offer that you can easily add into the bio area, then this is a great way to extend your marketing efforts with Twitter. The best part is that it is so easy to do,and only needs to be done once (unless you are changing out promotional offers)!
