Social Media Classes: The Multimedia Features In LinkedIn Profiles

Did you know that you can add presentations, images and video to your LinkedIn profile?

With over a billion names being searched each and every day on Google alone, your need to have a rock solid reputation in the search engines has never been more important than now. Especially as a business, looking to better promote yourself and wanting people to assess your expertise. This Social Media Classes tip focuses on adding the right kind of content to your LinkedIn profile, rounding out the most important online profile a small business entrepreneur can have!

One of the most crucial parts of your effectiveness on LinkedIn is what and how you choose to communicate your reputation through your profile. This is where LinkedIn really excels in creating the most robust set of profile features versus any other social network. In fact, you can watch the webinar on, “The Ultimate Guide To Creating A LinkedIn Profile” in the University right now.  The webinar goes through all of the Top 10 profile strategies to get yours up to speed with the best practices available.

In this article, we will focus on one of the Top 10 – the ability to add in files (presentations), images and video. This gives you an incredible opportunity to share pretty much anything that you would like your target prospects to see. In the example below, we have included two images to my (Steve MacDonald’s) LinkedIn profile. The first image represents a testimonial with links to all our reviews on the University and the second is an introduction to a free Getting Started series. Two incredibly strong choices to merchandise the University for which I am the President.
