The Top 5 Ways To Create Content Your Target Market Will Love
Finding and isolating your target market is an important step for every small business owner. But once you have done so, the trick is to attract people in that target group and keep them coming back for more! And one of the best ways to do that is with great content. In this Social Media Classes tip, we’ll cover the top five ways to create content your target market will love.
1. Focus on Quality
It is easy to fall into the trap of wanting to get as much content out as quickly as possible and letting quality go by the wayside in the process. But what is the point of releasing content that is of bad quality? Not only will it fail to impress current and potential customers, but it will also reflect poorly on your brand. Put pride into all of the work that you distribute. Your expert reputation and trust are riding on it!
2. Write How-To’s
Who knows your target market better than you do? No one! Prove it with helpful “how-to” articles that include tips and information on your target niche. These articles are easy for your visitors to read, and if helpful will make them more likely to trust you with their business. What are the questions that they constantly have? This is a great place to start, by answering questions.
3. Keep It Simple
While it is important to show off your knowledge within your target niche, it is also important to remember that most people don’t have the time or desire to read extremely long and difficult essays. You can still come off as smart and informative without overcomplicating your content; stick to the basics. Part of your brand is to make things simple and easy for your niche.
4. Focus on the Big Picture
Keep in mind that when someone is visiting your website or social media pages, they are there specifically for you and your brand. For that reason, it doesn’t make sense to stray outside of that! This doesn’t mean that you can’t share stories or opinions on things outside of your target market, but remember that in the end everything you produce paints the big picture of who you are and what you are about, so choose your content wisely. Your content is like pages in a book. Stay focused so that all your content lives well under your one brand, for your specific target market niche. This will also help tremendously in the search engines as they learn what you are all about by the focused keywords that you are always using.
5. Emphasize Importance
Articles such as “Top 5” (like the one you are reading right now!) and “Must Have” give the reader a clear and concise message, and stress the importance of that message. Use lists and calls to action to emphasize the importance of your content. A catchy, motivating title to your posts is the most important way that you are going to attract your niche to your blog posts. So take the time to think through your titles!
