Why is Branding So Important In Social Media?
This is the most important question to ask yourself as you head into any Social Media Training! Why? Without branding strategies, we have no idea what it is that we are promising to our target markets. Branding helps ensure that every action and decision you make around your business, including all social media efforts, help support one very important question from your prospects through to your most loyal customers. What’s in it for me?
If you don’t have a really good idea of what the answer is to that question, then you’re guessing. Don’t pretend you know the answer either. Write it out and sit on it for a day or two. Share it with a few clients and get their reactions.
Here’s another clue…it’s tied to your business goals and your target audience. Where you want to go with your business can alter the target market that you want to focus on. Different target audiences will want different things from you.
Here’s one more tip. Your brand isn’t just your products or services. They are a great means to addressing your target audiences needs, but only you and your company weave together a complete solution involving customer service, product bundling, customizations, delivery options, personality, attitude and so much more that create the full branded experience.
So remember this, you are at the heart of your brand! Once you get that figured out, along with your answer to the question above, then you can really hone in on a particular content and keyword strategy for your social media campaign that you know makes great strategic sense! Without it, your content will be scattered and your keyword strategy will be next to non-existant.
