Twitter Lists at the onset looks something similar to what other Twitter applications like TweetDeck and HootSuite have offered for quite sometime in terms of the ability to organize Twitter accounts into groupings. So why is Twitter’s Lists functionality so different? It has to do with the ability to have these groups public to anyone, follow the entire list and use insights from the lists to apply in other areas of your social media campaign.

It is a reflection of what others consider of value in terms of what you tweet. You can say that you are one thing, but what others are saying is the most accurate reflection of your online reputation and brand.

Combine this with the fact that you can follow, listen, re-market and extend value in new ways, and Twitter lists a valuable tool for your online campaign.
