Social Media Courses: The Power Of Answering Questions

More Ways To Connect And Engage

If social media marketing has its foundation in adding value to your target market niche, then answering questions from your niche is high on the priority list. In this Social Media Courses tip, we’ll go over some of the great ways to find and then answer questions online.

While we participate as a business in social networking, we ultimately meet people and end up answering their questions. It’s natural to answer questions since our goal is to help address the unmet wants, needs and desires for our target niche. So why not start out by looking for those questions?

There are two great ways to find questions that make sense for you to answer as part of a way to reach out and prospect amongst your niche in a very high value way.

1. Search The Social Networks – If you have not already, please take the time to review all the webinars in the series on “Social Media Prospecting Made Easy.” We cover every major social network and the best way to search and find high quality prospects. When searching, you can search for actual questions. Below is an example of a search on Twitter looking for any tweet that contains the exact words, “How do I” combined with the word “Facebook”. This helps identify questions that people are asking around Facebook. The example below has high relevancy for us as a social media university. What are the right searches for you to use in order to answer questions from your target niche?

2. Create Blog Posts That Answer Questions – If you search with the Google Adwords Keyword Tool (just search with those words in Google to find it), you can actually find popular questions that people are searching on within the search engines.

As you can see, there can be a fair amount of search traffic just from answering questions on your blog. The goal is not to pick a very competitive, high volume question that is being asked in the search engines, but one that has a lower count, and will be less competitive to get high placement for in the search engines. Creating posts on a regular basis that are optimized for the keywords of a specific question can really start to add up over time!
